This fun and adventurous family paired so well with one of my bucket-list location! Add their fun personalities, good looks and the amazing fall colors and really my job was a breeze! I just love watching this family grow, and count myself blessed to call them friends! Enjoy!
This little baby y’all. He is the grandson of a woman I have come to look at like another mother. When I met Cara the first thing I noticed was how wonderful she was with children, and how amazing a mother she would make and Luke absolutely had what it would take to be a great father. Not long after that we got the news that she was expecting! Unfortunately the end of Cara & Luke’s pregnancy was hard. Little Liam was born early and developed some health issues that required his stay in the NICU for almost 3 weeks. The news was not good, but here at home we prayed. & we asked our friends to pray. We even asked strangers to pray. & then, Liam and Mommy got to come home! They still have a long road ahead but the love, oh the love, for this little boy is as strong as he is! I was so honored to take their first family photographs, and hope it will be the first time of many!
Y’all. I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter way to “officially” end wedding season. As any of my friends know, my husband and I welcomed our third baby to our family and I cut back accordingly, but this wedding made me SO sad to be done for the year. Michelle and her best friend found me online, and we met a Starbucks near home. I immediately loved both Michelle and Clay. I remember remarking on her incredible blue eyes and watching Clay just look at her in the most adoring way the entire meeting. We later met in Kennesaw for their engagement photos and I was once again so warmed by their hilarious antics and obvious romance. Wedding day was no different, but it was way better. Enter the bridal party of dreams! Sweet, funny, helpful, they seriously felt like friends at the end of the day. & pair all of this with the worlds most amazing team of vendors. Michelle’s attention to detail left no stone un-turned. I can’t say enough about the food, entertainment and venues. Really guys, props to you! I mean, how many brides get the ultimate privilege of having the great Henry the 8th do their makeup? Yeah, not many.
So Michelle & Clay, you made my day! From your love for each other, to your vows, to your sweet waltz and reception shenanigans, I was floored! I hope I did your day justice! Enjoy!

Ashleigh & Nick got married on a beautiful day, right on the cusp of Fall. This wedding was so sweet and special, and equally fun! I’ve never seen such an emotional set of vows, especially when Nick dropped down on one knee and promised to love Ashleigh’s little girl forever. I am so honored to have been a part of your big day, enjoy your love story in photos!
I love being from a relatively small town. I love that everywhere I go I meet someone who knows someone, and so on and so forth. Sometimes, when I am at a Target on a weeknight looking a little worse for the wear that might not be so great. When it comes to my business, it’s a treasure! I went to school with the entire bridal party, shot the matron of Honor’s wedding and have a wedding in less than a year for one of the groomsmen! The bride and her now-hubby live in Texas and came back home for this sweet Fall wedding and because of her contacts here was able to have me on her big day! I’m so happy for these two! They got married at the beautifully renovated Cotton Gin at Mill Creek. Amanda and her team made sure everything went off without a hitch and their house DJ kept everyone moving all night long!!!
Tonight I had the most beautiful session. Using what I have learned so far in my 7 years as a photographer I helped to curate this session from the gown to the location. I chased light, posed and shot but the credit really goes to my Momma-to-be who was stunning without any direction at all. I joked that she defines “that pregnancy glow” but as I edited I found that to be true. Caleb, you are a lucky guy. & Elijah & Ruby, your mom is a babe 😉
Enjoy these last few weeks sweet Momma, can’t wait to see precious Ruby Faye!
If you are reading this and you are a photographer, there may come a time when another photographer asks you to take their wedding photos. You will take a deep breath, consider saying no for fear of not measuring up, but do yourself favor and give them a resounding YES! What happens when you do that, you might ask. Magic! Pure, lovely magic. Emily is a creative, and an old soul like myself. She paid attention to the details, the handwritten notes, the lace, the lighting. It was lovely. I showed up and she showed me a room of details ready to go and steered me in the direction of a room, bathed in light where the girls would be getting ready. It was so nice. I mean, one of the things that separates the pro from the uncle with the camera is the ability to turn the ordinary into the incredible but it is SO NICE to have someone make that job a little easier! But enough of that.
Steve and Emily are high school sweethearts. My high school actually, and that’s how Emily and I know each other. It was such a pleasure watching these two, exchanging vows and then singing to one another on the dance floor as the night went on. I am so, so in awe of them and the heart-work they put into this special day, as well as the beautiful way they love and support and just seem to get one another. So proud and honored to have been a part of their day. Emily & Steve, I wish you years of happiness! You deserve it!
Oh Molly, you are just the sweetest soul! & David, no one could love Molly like you do. It’s evident that you both are just the hands and feet of Jesus. You love well, and look good doing it! You made my job so incredibly easy. Thank you for making this pregnant lady’s job a piece of cake!!! Enjoy your wedding images and the many, many happy years you have coming your way!
Seriously guys. When Kelsie got in touch with me on Sunday (& yes, I absolutely mean this past Sunday) and told me that they just didn’t want to wait anymore to tie the knot I was stoked, nervous, a little scattered like it was this girl getting married in 5 days. I got my schedule cleared so that I could be there, because I have been just dying to be a part of Kelsie + Kyle’s big day since she shot for me over a year ago and first mentioned getting on my books!
Fast forward to today, and it truly couldn’t have been a better day for a wedding. The weather was perfect, and when I drove up this incredible white fence-lined drive and saw the home the ceremony & reception was to be held at I was speechless! I kept telling Kelsie that they couldn’t have possibly done this all this week, it was just way too perfect! It was the right amount of delicate details, and incredible romance that kept it intimate and perfect. I had no shortage of lovely things to photograph, namely Kelsie and her incredible dress. Not to mention how tender and sweet Kyle is when he is with her. I’m telling you, it was just everything.
Needless to say, I warned Brock I would be up all night editing and here I am, ready to share some stunning wedding details with you because I just couldn’t put it off. I literally would not have been able to sleep!
Take a peak, leave some love, and join me in wishing the new Mr. & Mrs. Kyle Brock all the happiness the world has to give!!!
Karen & Tim met me at a local Starbucks back in December and I was so hopeful from the moment I met them that I would be their photographer! They had the attention to detail that I love in my brides & grooms but also this ease about them! I knew we would be a good fit, and thankfully they felt the same way! Their wedding was an incredibly beautiful day that gave us a glimpse of Spring. Karen had everything so well planned and thought out that the day went very smoothly! Big thanks to her vendors for their handwork and diligence in making this day so special for them. I have to say…I cried at least twice. Their speeches were so thoughtful and from the heart, and there is no doubt that their love is a lasting love! I wish them nothing but the best as they move forward into their new lives as husband and wife!
